Larceny Kentucky Straight Bourbon
This wheated Kentucky straight bourbon comes from Heaven Hill, the respected family distillery in Bardstown. It takes its name from John E. Fitzgerald, a treasury agent with a fondness for fine barrels. Wheat replaces the usual rye as the second grain, and more of it than most rivals. The result is a softer, rounder and notably mellow bourbon.
- Warm brioche and fruity coffee lead, backed by cedar and a hint of coriander.
- Sweetcorn and molasses on the palate, with malt loaf and gentle festive spice.
- Starts peppery, then softens as those coffee notes drift back in sweetly.
Sip it neat, over ice, or stirred into a mellow Old Fashioned. It works well with barbecued ribs, roast pork or a slice of pecan pie.
