The Glenlivet is one of the most celebrated single malt distilleries in Speyside, Scotland. George Smith founded it in 1824, holding one of the first legal distilling licences in the region. Its tall copper pot stills help create a light, fruity spirit. This single malt matures in a mix of traditional oak and first-fill American oak casks. Together they give it a smooth, approachable character.
- The nose offers orange zest, toffee and ripe plum, with chocolate raisins and a little cinnamon.
- The palate is fruity and sweet, with toffee, milk chocolate and hints of baked apple.
- Creamy toffee leads the finish, joined by soft oak and barley sugar warmth.
Enjoy it neat, or over ice to soften the sweetness. It pairs well with milk chocolate puddings, apple tart or a mature cheddar.
