This 20-Year-Old expression is matured in carefully selected, fire-charred new American oak barrels, with Michter’s famously choosing to release barrels only when peak maturity is achieved rather than on a fixed schedule.
- The nose is deep and expressive with rich caramel, vanilla fudge and toasted oak, layered with dark fruits, maple syrup and a touch of leather and spice.
- The palate is intensely rich and full-bodied, delivering waves of toffee, dark chocolate and burnt sugar, balanced by cinnamon, clove and well-integrated oak. Despite the high ABV, it remains remarkably smooth and controlled.
- The finish is long, warming and complex, with lingering notes of sweet oak, baking spice, tobacco and a refined dryness that keeps it elegant.
