A golden rum expression from the Foursquare Distillery. Ageing for 14 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and madeira casks.
- Doorly's 5 Year Old Gold Rum opens with freshly buttered popcorn, mingling with rich, golden sugar syrup. The nose develops, subtle hints of tropical pineapple cubes and refreshing melon juice emerge. Adding a fruity vibrancy that balances the initial sweetness. A faint note of slightly bitter, damp toasted oak lingers in the background
- On the palate, the Bajan rum experience begins with a rich and buttery sensation. The mid-palate reveals layers of vanilla ice cream. Enhanced by a silky toffee sauce that coats the mouth with its creamy texture
- The finish is short but intriguing, beginning with a gentle prickle of pepper that tingles the palate.
This aged rum pairs beautifully with grilled pineapple, caramelised banana desserts, or spiced glazed pork.
