Produced in northwest Spain’s Toro region, Numanthia is made from 100% Tinta de Toro, a local clone of Tempranillo. The vines are dry-farmed and ungrafted, many over 100 years old, growing on sandy soils that resist phylloxera. Bodega Numanthia manages over 200 vineyard parcels across eight distinct terroirs, each vinified separately to preserve site expression.
The red wine is aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, with a portion matured in new oak to enhance structure and depth. This process delivers concentration, balance and ageing potential, showcasing the full power and elegance of Toro’s old vines.
