Tarquins Cornish Pastis Liqueur

This is the first Pastis to be made in the UK. A modern take on the classic French aniseed spirit, distilled in small batches in copper pot stills on the rugged Cornwall coast.

Tarquins Cornish Pastis is distilled with 13 hand-selected botanicals from distant and exotic locations from around the world, including aniseed, fennel seed, liquorice root, green cardamom, cinnamon, orris root, star anise, angelica root, juniper, gorse flowers, and fresh citrus peel.

The nose is big and bold, with candied black liquorice, zesty orange peel, and notes of freshly picked garden herbs. Flavours of sweet fennel seed and earthy liquorice, black pepper, fresh fennel, and fragrant orange blossom. The finish is full-bodied with a lovely creamy texture, and an extremely long and dry finish with a lingering herbal complexity, citrus freshness, and gentle sweet spice.

Established in 2012 by Founder and Master Distiller, Tarquin Leadbetter, back when he was merely 23 years old and self-taught, Tarquin’s Cornish Gin is Cornwall’s first gin in over 100 years. As a fully-independent Distillery nestled on a windswept hilltop overlooking the wild Cornish Coast, Tarquin’s proudly champion a combination of the authentically traditional and the progressively modern in all we do.

Only the finest hand selected botanicals from exotic corners of the world, combined with those that are locally foraged, make it into their stills. Every bottle is individually filled, labelled, waxed, stamped, given batch tasting notes and signed - all by hand. When they put "Handcrafted in Cornwall" on their bottles – Tarquin;s really do mean it.
