A five-part series hand selected by the Director of Pol Roger Portfolio, Peter Donnelly which aims to celebrate the rich tradition and heritage of the Grant family who have owned Glenfarclas distillery for five generations. Presenting each release in this limited-edition series in a crystal Glencairn decanter.
Meticulously selecting the third release from casks filled on the eve and dawn of the new millennium. This historic moment, a once-in-a-thousand-years opportunity, saw the Grant family and distillery staff personally fill casks on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Features a first-fill sherry butt.
- Notes of sherry, nuts, and spices, reminiscent of a festive Christmas
- Dominating the palate is a rich sherry flavour, complemented by dark fruits and a hint of sweetness
- The finish is exceptionally long and lingering, with a prominent oaky dryness that balances the sweetness of the earlier notes
Bottling the Glenfarclas 24 year old 2000 Millennium cask whisky at 47.4 ABV and at natural colour. Only 600 decanters have been produced.
