Glen Grant has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century. The distillery was established in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant in the town of Rothes, in the heart of Scotland's Speyside region.

One of the defining characteristics of Glen Grant whisky has been its light, fresh, and crisp flavour profile, which was a deliberate departure from the heavier, peatier styles prevalent at the time. This unique character was achieved through a combination of factors, including the use of tall, slender pot stills and purifiers that ensured a smooth and refined spirit. The distillery's proximity to the River Spey provided a reliable source of pure water, further enhancing the quality of the whisky.

In 2006, Campari acquired Glen Grant, its only whisky, when Allied Domecq were acquired by Pernod Ricard. To this day, Glen Grant continues to be one of the biggest selling single malts worldwide.
