Marques De Murrieta Rioja Reserva
Produced in Spain’s Rioja Alta region, this Reserva is crafted by Marques de Murrieta, one of Rioja’s oldest estates, founded in 1852. Grapes are sourced from the 300-hectare Ygay Estate, planted on calcareous clay soils at altitudes between 320 and 485 metres. The blend includes Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha, each contributing structure, freshness and depth.
After fermentation in stainless steel tanks with regular skin contact, the wine is aged for 26 months in American oak barrels. It then rests in concrete before bottling, allowing full integration and refinement. This process preserves the wine’s balance and enhances its ageing potential.
