Meerlust Rubicon
This classic red blend is crafted in Stellenbosch, South Africa, using fruit from four distinct terroirs on the Meerlust Estate. The vineyards are planted on granite-rich and clay-based soils, contributing structure and depth. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented separately before blending. The wine is aged for 16–18 months in French oak barrels.
Meerlust Estate has been family-owned since 1756 and is known for pioneering Bordeaux-style blends in the Cape. Rubicon is their flagship wine, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
