This biodynamic white wine from the northern Rhone is made from 50% Marsanne and 50% Roussanne. Ferraton Pere et Fils has produced wine in Hermitage since 1946 and now works with Demeter-certified vineyards. The fruit comes from two plots, Les Beaumes and Le Meal, both with south-facing exposure.
Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, with 30% new wood, followed by ageing on fine lees for up to 12 months. The result is a rich, expressive wine with great ageing potential and a strong sense of place.
