Pussers blue label original rum is the new 40% bottling. The Pusser's rum collection has had a bit of a revamp. The blue label still uses the exact same blend of rums, a recipe from the Admiralty. The reasoning behind bottling at 40%, is it allows Pusser's to distribute to Naval bases. Where the maximum allowed strength is 40%.
- The colour is a rich mahogany, though clear
- The aroma is a burst of classic demerara with a wonderful mix of brown sugar and molasses with notes of leather, tobacco, dried sultanas, nutmeg, clove, and cassia
- Finishing with soft oak, caramel, and rich English toffee
Pusser’s full, rich flavour is all natural with no flavouring agents. It is the only rum whose flavour is sufficiently distinctive to be savoured through the ingredients of just about any cocktail.
