Puglia Wine Region

Puglia wine region is located in the south-eastern part of Italy along the "heel" of the country's boot. It is one of Italy's most important wine regions. Known for its long, sun-soaked coastline and fertile plains, Puglia has a rich viticulture tradition that dates back thousands of years. Influenced by ancient Greek, Roman, and Mediterranean cultures.

Puglia's Mediterranean climate is hot, with dry summers and mild winters. It is ideal for growing robust, flavourful grapes. The region is primarily flat, with vineyards sprawling across its plains and low hills, benefiting from the warm climate and cooling sea breezes from the Adriatic and Ionian seas. This combination results in ripe, richly concentrated fruit with balanced acidity. Notable grape varieties Puglia is famed for its native red grape varieties, particularly primitivo and negroamaro.
