Penderyn Distillery

Penderyn Distillery is a Welsh whisky distillery located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. It is the only distillery in Wales that produces whisky as well as other spirits such as gin and vodka.

The location of Penderyn Distillery is unique and plays an important role in the flavour profile of its whiskies. To make the whisky they use the water from a natural spring that runs through the surrounding mountains. This water has a high purity and mineral content, which contributes to the unique taste of Penderyn’s whiskies.

The distillery uses the Faraday still design, which was a collaboration with Dr. David Faraday, a descendant of the famous physicist Michael Faraday. This still produces a very high-quality spirit, then ageing in a combination of bourbon and madeira casks.

In addition to its whiskies, Penderyn also produces a range of other spirits, including gin and vodka. These spirits also use the same high-quality water and distillation processes as the whiskies.
