Penderyn Icons of Wales #14 The Village Whisky 70cl
Penderyn Icons of Wales #14 The Village Whisky
Portmeirion was conceived and built between 1925 and 1973 by visionary Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Designed as a dreamlike fusion of architecture, landscape and imagination, the village has long inspired artists, writers and visitors from around the world, and famously served as the setting for the cult television series The Prisoner.
- On the nose, Penderyn The Village reveals layers of ripe fruit and oak spice alongside notes of vanilla, cocoa and soft honey, with gentle toasted oak beneath.
- The palate is smooth and full-bodied, offering red berries, ripe plums and soft spice, balanced by honeyed sweetness and light floral tones.
- The finish is long and warming, lingering with candied fruit, spiced oak and a subtle grip of grape tannins from the Amarone cask finish.
Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to reveal the full depth of fruit, spice and Amarone cask influence.
