This premium Tennessee whiskey comes from the famous Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It starts life as the classic Old No. 7 recipe, mellowed through sugar-maple charcoal. After ageing in new charred American oak, it gains a second maturation in maple-wood barrels.
It is then filtered through maple charcoal a second time, a process known as double mellowing. This extra step builds a richer, smoother and warmer character. First a travel-retail exclusive, it reached wider release in 2015.
