Meerlust Rubicon Magnum

This iconic red blend is crafted in Stellenbosch, South Africa, where the coastal climate and diverse soils shape wines of depth and longevity. The estate’s vineyards span four distinct terroirs, from granite-rich slopes to clay-heavy lowlands, each contributing unique character to the final blend. Slow ripening and careful vineyard management ensure concentration and balance.

Meerlust Estate has been in the Myburgh family since 1756, with winemaking led by Wim Truter. The Rubicon is vinified in the Bordeaux tradition, with each varietal fermented separately before blending. Aged for 21 months in French oak (70% new), the wine is structured for ageing and bottled in magnum format for optimal development.
