Paul Jaboulet Aine Hermitage La Chapelle 1982

Paul Jaboulet Aine Hermitage La Chapelle 1982 is a fully mature Syrah from the steep slopes of Hermitage hill in the Northern Rhone. Blended from several top parcels and aged in French oak, this vintage is known for its exotic complexity and longevity. It shows remarkable depth and refinement, with a dark garnet colour and an amber edge, still vibrant after decades in bottle.

Founded in 1834, Paul Jaboulet Aine is one of the Rhone Valley’s most iconic producers. La Chapelle is named after the 13th-century chapel of St. Christophe and is considered one of the greatest expressions of Hermitage. Since 2005, the estate has been revitalised under the Frey family, with a renewed focus on quality and sustainability.

  • Aromas of Asian spice, roasted espresso and cassis
  • Paul Jaboulet Aine Hermitage La Chapelle 1982 shows tobacco, leather and stewed blackberry
  • Finishes long, savoury and layered

Pairs well with Iberico pork, game and mushroom dishes.
