Joseph Drouhin Puligny Montrachet
Joseph Drouhin is a family-run Burgundy estate founded in Beaune in 1880 and now led by its fourth generation. This wine is made from Chardonnay grown in Puligny-Montrachet, a village known for producing some of Burgundy’s most refined white wines.
The vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, with horse-ploughing and herbal treatments used instead of synthetic chemicals. Fermentation and ageing take place in French oak barrels, with around 20 percent new oak used. Ageing lasts 14 to 16 months, allowing the wine to develop complexity and balance.
