Domaine Chanson Corton Vergennes Grand Cru 2018 75cl
Domaine Chanson Corton Vergennes Grand Cru
Domaine Chanson proudly own 45 hectares of vineyard exclusively in Premier and Grand Cru sites in the heart of Burgundy. They have 0.6ha of chardonnay plantings on the east-facing Corton-Vergennes Grand Cru vineyard. They share this with the Hospices de Beaune.
The vineyard used to belong to Charles Gravier, Count of Vergennes, who is most famous for signing the Treaty of Alliance between France and the US with Benjamin Franklin. Soils are a mix of clay and limestone covered with stones.
The 8-metre thick walls of the Bastion - one of 5 in Beaune - at Domaine Chanson make it an ideal space for the maturation of their wines.
- Domaine Chanson Corton Vergennes Grand Cru has floral fragrances mixed with aromas of peach, apricot, honey and almond
- A complex and concentrated Grand Cru white Burgundy with delicate oak and a long, elegant finish
Pairs well with seafood, foie gras, fish in a creamy sauce, crayfish, and creamy French cheeses.
