From the hills surrounding Alba in Piedmont, Marchesi di Barolo is one of Italy’s most historic wine estates. Founded in 1807 and passed to the people of Barolo by its noble founders, the winery has been run by the Abbona family since the 1950s, continuing its legacy across the region.
Ruvei is made from 85% Barbera and 15% Nebbiolo grapes grown on clay and limestone soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by aging in large oak casks. The wine is not confirmed vegan or vegetarian.
