Le Bouquet des Garrigues Cotes du Rhone Clos du Caillou
This southern Rhone red blends Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Carignan and Counoise from vineyards bordering Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The estate combines traditional concrete vinification with partial carbonic maceration to retain purity and aromatic lift. Ageing in large wooden vats and foudres for 14 months softens texture while preserving the wine’s vibrant fruit character.
- The nose shows wild strawberry, blueberry and orange peel with notes of Sichuan pepper, thyme and liquorice.
- The palate is generous and balanced, combining ripe red fruit with gentle spice and silky tannins.
- The finish is smooth and savoury, with lingering garrigue herbs and fresh red berry character.
Pairs well with roast chicken, slow-cooked beef or aged Comte.
