Aged for a minimum of three years - first in 300-litre Limousin oak casks, then transferred to German oak barrels. This dual-wood approach draws colour, aroma and depth from the wood.

• On the nose there is ripe plum and dark berry fruits, lifted by a gentle floral note and hints of vanilla from the oak maturation.
• The palate is mild and sweetly rounded, with a harmonious bouquet of ripe grapes, soft nougat and caramel. Subtle oak spice provides structure, while flavours of plum and walnut add complexity. The texture is smooth and velvety.
• The finish is medium-length and gently warming, with lingering notes of dark chocolate, toasted nuts and delicate fruit sweetness.

Asbach Original 3-Year-Old is wonderfully versatile. Serve it neat in a tulip-shaped brandy glass at room temperature to enjoy the full aromatic profile, or slightly warmed by cupping the glass in your hands.

It also works beautifully over ice for a lighter serve, as the base of an elevated Irish coffee, or mixed with cola in the traditional Berlin style known as Futschi.
