Chateau Ksara Wine
Chateau Ksara, founded in 1857, holds the esteemed position of being Lebanon's oldest winery. Its fascinating history began when a group of Jesuit monks acquired the property. With a blend of scientific knowledge and agricultural expertise, planted French vines on the grounds. Notably, they ingeniously developed two kilometres of Roman caves. Proving to be an optimal setting for the maturation and storage of wines.
The winery remained under the ownership of the Jesuits until 1973 when it transitioned into the hands of its current proprietors. Today, Chateau Ksara stands as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of tradition and modernity. While cherishing its historical roots, the winery has evolved into the most modern facility in the region.
Beyond its historical significance, Chateau Ksara has carved a prominent place in Lebanon's winemaking landscape. As the largest wine producer in the country, it consistently produces wines of exceptional quality, earning accolades and awards on an annual basis.
