This is a barrel-proof Kentucky straight bourbon from the famed Buffalo Trace Distillery. It honours George T. Stagg, the 19th-century businessman who built the distillery into a powerhouse. This nineteenth batch was released in the winter of 2022, matured for close to a decade. True to form, it comes uncut and unfiltered at a mighty 65% ABV. A generous splash of water helps tame the heat and reveal its depth.
