An Old Fashioned needs little more than good bourbon, bitters, sugar and ice. This set pairs Buffalo Trace with Angostura, two premium components that carry the drink. Buffalo Trace is made at a historic distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, owned by Sazerac. This Kentucky Straight Bourbon uses a low-rye mash of corn, rye and barley, aged in charred oak.
- Buffalo Trace is rich and smooth, with vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and gentle oak spice.
- Angostura bitters lift the serve with clove, cinnamon and a warm herbal edge.
Stir over a large ice cube with a dash of bitters and an orange twist. It pairs well with dark chocolate, mature cheddar or a slow-cooked beef short rib.
