Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay

The Catena family has produced wines in Mendoza for over 100 years, pioneering high-altitude viticulture in Argentina. This Chardonnay is grown in a 27-row section of Block 1 within the Adrianna Vineyard, located at 1,450 metres above sea level in Gualtallary.

The vineyard’s surface is covered in oval white stones, creating excellent drainage and limiting root growth. These poor soils and cool nights result in low yields, slow ripening and naturally high acidity. The wine is fermented and aged for 12 to 16 months in French oak barrels, developing texture, complexity and ageing potential.
