Penfolds Bin 138 is a bold and expressive red wine blend inspired by the classic styles of the Southern Rhone. Crafted from old vines in the Barossa Valley, some dating back to 1895, this wine reflects Penfolds legacy of innovation and quality. First released in 1992 and elevated to Bin status in 1998, Bin 138 has become a staple in the Penfolds collection.
Each varietal which include Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro is vinified separately and matured in seasoned French and American oak before blending. The result is a full-bodied wine with depth, complexity and seamless structure, ideal for both immediate enjoyment and cellaring.
