What Sets The Balvenie Whisky Apart?

Nestled in the glorious Speyside region of Scotland lives the Balvenie Distillery, the roots of The Balvenie can be traced back to the late 19th century when William Grant, a skilled distiller, and his family embarked on a daring venture. In 1886, after years of working in the whisky industry, Grant purchased a plot of land near the renowned Glenfiddich Distillery and set out to create his own distillery. With a blend of determination, craftsmanship, and a vision to produce high-quality whisky, Grant's dream came to fruition with the establishment of The Balvenie Distillery in 1892.

In 2006, The Balvenie earned significant recognition at the prestigious International Spirits Challenge, receiving gold medals for several standout expressions including the Founder’s Reserve 10 Year Old, DoubleWood 12 Year Old, New Wood 17 Year Old, PortWood 21 Year Old, Balvenie Thirty, and the 1991 PortWood. This remarkable achievement marked the largest number of gold medals awarded to a single brand in a single year since the competition’s inception.
