Crafted by the esteemed Buffalo Trace Distillery. Named after William Larue Weller, a pioneer in bourbon history and praised for being the first to produce a wheated bourbon. W.L. Weller 12-Year-Old wheated bourbon uses wheat in the mash bill which imparts a sweet and mellow character to the spirit.
The nose opens with a symphony of caramel and vanilla, followed by subtle notes of dried fruits, oak, and a touch of spice. The palate is well-balanced, featuring sweet notes of honey, butterscotch, and toffee and a gentle warmth develops on the finish.
W.L. Weller 12-Year-Old Bourbon has been awarded a wide range of highly acclaimed awards including a double golf in the San Francisco World spirits competition. Due to Buffalo Traces popularity these American Whiskeys can be incredibly difficult to get your hands on.
