Bivrost X Gealdyr Nornir Whisky

Nornir is a limited edition Bivrost whisky created in collaboration with Dutch artist Gealdyr, bringing together Arctic whisky, Norse mythology and music in one distinctive release. First matured in ex-rye casks before finishing in maple syrup and Amontillado casks, with a touch of Amburana, it combines maple sweetness, vanilla and warming rye spice with toasted oak, dried fruit and roasted nuts.

Just 1,500 individually numbered bottles will be released worldwide, each with a unique QR code unlocking Gealdyr's four track Nornir EP and the exclusive track Bivrost. The whisky was developed in close collaboration with Gealdyr and the BIVROST team. Together, they explored different cask combinations and flavour profiles before Gealdyr personally selected the final expression for the NORNIR project.

The whisky was first matured in ex rye casks, bringing a foundation for warming spice and toasted oak. It was then finished in maple syrup and Amontillado casks, with a small amount of Amburana adding another layer to the final profile.

• Maple syrup and vanilla lead, followed by rye spice, toasted oak, dried fruit and roasted nuts. Cinnamon, baking spices and a delicate touch of exotic wood add further depth.
• Maple caramel, vanilla and toasted oak develop into rye spice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dry nuttiness and dried fruit from the Amontillado cask balance the sweeter notes, while Amburana brings a softer woody sweetness.
• Long and warming, with lingering rye spice, toasted oak, dark caramel, walnut and vanilla, rounded off by a lasting note of maple sweetness.

Each of the 1500 individually numbered bottles features a unique QR code that gives its owner access to the complete Nornir EP, along with an additional track titled Bivrost, created especially for the collaboration.
