This full-bodied red wine from Portugal’s Alentejo region is a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira. Sourced from estate vineyards in the Evora sub-region, it’s fruit-forward, structured and layered with spice and mocha. Aged for 12 months in oak and 9 months in bottle, it reflects the depth and character of the region’s traditional varieties.
Cartuxa is produced by the Eugenio de Almeida Foundation, a historic estate with roots in the 16th century. The winery is named after the nearby Cartuxa Monastery, and the wines honour the legacy of the Carthusian monks. The estate practices sustainable viticulture and is known for its expressive, age-worthy reds.
