This super-small-batch artisinal Gin is flavoured with restraint, distilled with 10 botanicals carefully selected for an even drier balance than a classic London Dry Gin, making it easier for the natural quality of the spirit to shine through.
Distilling this excellent gin involves carefully balancing the aromatic botanicals to create a drink that is dry, spicy and full of character. In this process, the distillation column is bypassed to retain the intensity of the botanicals.
Sipsmith London Dry, and all Sipsmith gins, remain one of the only gins in the world handcrafted traditionally using the uncompromising 'one-shot' method, rather than as a concentrate.
On the nose it is floral, with summer meadow notes, followed by mellow rounded juniper and zesty, citrus freshness. On the palate, there is a g entle mouthfeel, with initial dry juniper joined by growing sweetness, showing lemon tart & orange marmalade, garnished by a wave of fresh lemon zest, followed by bolder juniper & light dryness, before all the flavours harmonise into one integrated taste. The dryness leads on the finish with spicy juniper & a hint of lemon tart emerging.
