A special release for the Lancashire Mead Company to commemorate someone close to the companies heart - Gordon Hannington.

A suitable name for the force of nature that was Gordon Hannington. Founder of the Historical Combat Company and owner of WyldFire. He was a champion and ambassador through the Lancashire Mead Company journey as a small business.

Following a diagnosis of Testicular cancer in 2017, his post-op treatment was mismanaged and with the possibility of a new diagnosis of skin cancer, Gordon took his own life on 5th April 2019.

Originally a limited release mead in 2020, to raise money for Checkemlads/TesticularCancerUK, it became so popular they have decided to keep it as a permanent fundraiser and the charity will change each year.

As this is a natural product, some hazing and sedimentation is likely to occur. Leave to settle in a cool, dark place and pour carefully. This a natural part of the maturation process and is not harmful to consumer or product. In fact, it will taste even better for it and it is why we use a decanter style bottle.
