- Find a producer working with old vines
- Allow the wine to rest on the lees - Sur Lie - for longer than is usual for wines from this region, so as to gain more texture and flavour
Departement 44 Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie 2020 has aromas and flavours of fresh apples, lemon curd, white flowers, and light pastry. It still has that textbook salinity of wines from this region, just with added depth and complexity. This is as fine as Muscadet gets.
Pairs well with oysters, fish and chips, or a nice salad.
