Feis ile, also known as the Islay Festival of Music and Malt, is an annual festival that takes place on the Scottish island of Islay. The festival celebrates the island's whisky heritage and Gaelic culture. Each year distilleries across Islay release exclusive limited edition Whisky to commemorate Feis ile and are always incredibly popular among Whisky Enthusiast, the 2023 Fels Ile Release from Bunnahabhain is no exception.
Distilled in October 1998 in first fill American Oak before being transferred for its remaining years in 2016 into Manzanilla sherry casks. The result is a complex aroma and flavour profile, with notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, toffee, and sea salt. The finish is long and smooth, with a hint of spice. Bottled at a cask strength of 52.3% ABV.
