Tormaresca is the only producer in Puglia with vineyards in both Castel del Monte DOC (home of the Bocca di Lupo estate) and Salento (home of the Masseria Maime estate). They are leaders in the modern renaissance of winemaking in Puglia, combining classic techniques with the latest technological advances to create exceptional wines waiting to be discovered. All wines are made entirely using estate grown fruit.
The Bocca di Lupo estate is located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level (820 feet) in the heart of the rugged Murgia area near Minervino Murge, about 90 kilometers west of Bari. All of the vineyards are certified organic and are located on calcareous soils that are excellent for producing the finest quality red wines.
Tormaresca Bocca di Lupo has an intense and complex nose with notes of morello cherries, blueberries and plums, merged with sweet and spicy aromas of cocoa and pepper, completed by fresh balsamic. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with lively tannins, and a persistent finish where the balsamic notes re-emerge.
