This prestigious red wine is produced in Piedmonte, Italy, by Ceretto — a family-run estate founded in the 1930s. Known for its single-vineyard expressions, Ceretto has become one of the region’s most respected producers. The Bussia vineyard, located in the heart of Monforte d’Alba, is classified as a cru and cultivated using organic and biodynamic practices.
Fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood. The wine is aged for around 30 months in large botti and 300-litre barrels, then rests in bottle for a year before release. Ceretto Barolo Bussia is not confirmed vegan or vegetarian.
