Unico Zelo 'True Blue' is a red wine blend of Grenache, Touriga Nacional, Nero d'Avola, Syrah and Montepulciano grapes made as an ode to the iconic Australian red wine blend that have been created in recent wine history. The team at Unico have had a crack at an unapologetically take on the everyday, reliable, brooding red blend, choosing varieties suited to their respective climates. Grenache is the dominant variety in the blend alongside some Touriga Nacional sourced from the Langhorne Creek. This adds a rich, ironstone drive full of ripe black fruit and black olive tapenade. Alongside these are small doses of Nero d’Avola, Adelaide Hills Syrah (one of the best places to grow it in the country) and Montepulciano that adds a lively spicy finish!
