Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou La Croix De Beaucaillou Saint Julien 2009 75cl
Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou La Croix De Beaucaillou Saint Julien 2009
This elegant and full-bodied red wine is aged for 12 months in a mix of both new and old French oak barrels. The 2009 vintage is full of pure, succulent dark cherry fruit with a touch of cedar. Dense and ripe but very juicy, with layers of depth, and an intriguing mineral complexity. Supple tannins and a silky, smooth finish.
Perfect served with wine-poached pears. Drinking well now or cellar for 5+ years.
Founded in 1720, Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is situated on the Grionde River in St Julien and represents the quintessential style of St Julien, powerful, ripe, and well balanced.
La Croix de Beaucaillou is the Chateau's second wine, a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.
