Josmeyer Pinot Noir is a ripe and fresh single vineyard biodynamic wine.
There are very few estates in Alsace that produce consistently high-quality wine like Domaine Josmeyer. Located next to the beautiful town of Colmar, the family wine adventure began back in 1854, and they have been producing delicious wines ever since.Josmeyer wines are characterised by freshness, complexity and minerality. Once hand-picked, the grapes undergo gentle pressing followed by natural fermentation in 100-year old casks, where they also receive some lees ageing.
Bright red with black cherry reflections. The nose is fruity and pleasantly charming. Aromas of fresh cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry with floral notes. A delicate, silky and well-balanced palate and a basket of red fruit on the finish.
Jean Meyer, the owner of Josmeyer, views winemaking as an artform and this is evident in the unique labels, created by local artists and an expression of the wines. Though their labels may suggest a certain playfulness, they are certainly serious wines.
