The Lequin family boasts a rich Burgundian heritage, with roots in Santenay tracing back to 1679. The inception of Lequin-Colin in 1976 marked a significant milestone, following the union of Rene Lequin and Josette Colin. Josette, hailing from a esteemed lineage of winemakers in Chassagne-Montrachet, brought her own venerable history to the blend. Presently, their son Francois oversees the 9 hectares of vineyards sprawled across Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, and Corton.

Committed to upholding authenticity and excellence, the Lequin-Colin estate transitioned to ploughing in 1997 and embraced organic farming in 2009. Their exacting practices both in the vineyard and the cellar culminate in wines that are aromatic and full-bodied.
