Initially matured in traditional oak casks before being finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. This finishing process imparts a distinctive tropical fruitiness and sweetness to the whisky.
Expect aromas of vanilla, honey, and a hint of toffee, combined with tropical fruit notes such as pineapple and mango. Rich, sweet notes of caramel, coconut, and a touch of spice. The rum cask finishing adds complexity with hints of dried fruits and a subtle, warming spice. The finish is smooth and lingering, with the sweetness from the rum cask continuing to develop.
Made from home grown barley and crafted in a traditional way; produced from one of the only distilleries that still maintains traditional crafting methods to this day.
