Ten Minutes By Tractor Estate Pinot Noir
This red wine has great energy, with lifted cherry fruit, vanilla, tomato leaf, spice and berry compote aromas and flavours.
Pairs well with soy marinated pork, crispy duck pancakes, tuna steak and roasted beetroot.
Ten Minutes by Tractor started in 1997 with three vineyards in Main Ridge, all ten minutes by tractor apart. Over the past 18 years, Martin and Karen Spedding have added four more vineyards that have a diverse range of microclimates from across the Mornington Peninsula. Each of these vineyard sites feature different aspects, slopes, soils, altitude and influence from the cool maritime breezes that wind their way through the valleys.
For this wine, grapes are hand-harvested and 85% de-stemmed before several days pre-ferment maceration, fermentation with indigenous yeast, and a short post-ferment maceration. The wine then undergoes 12 months maturation in French oak, of which 20% is new.
