M. Chapoutier Luberon La Ciboise Rouge 2017 75cl 13.5% ABV
The Luberon Regional Natural Park acts as the setting for the Luberon vineyards. Classified as Mediterranean but under the influence of a more continental climate from the Alpes and Rhone Valley. The Luberon is one of the most sun-drenched regions in France with approximately 2,600 hours of sun per year.
This wine is a blend of Grenache and Syrah. The grapes undergo a traditional fermentation in concrete tanks, preserving the fresh fruit character. After fermentation the wine spends a further 6 months in concrete to allow the aromas and flavours to harmonise and the tannin and acidity to soften.
The final wine has a prominent blackberry and mulberry character, with a subtle liqourice aroma and an elegant, silky finish.
