Bodega Los Haroldos was born in 1939 when a young Don Lolo Falasco started selling wines from the front of his bike. Today, his legacy is in the hands of the third and fourth generations of the family. The Falasco family plant at high altitudes on premium vineyard sites in the Mendoza to impart character and freshness in their wines.
Los Haroldos Estate Malbec is extremely good value for money. Grapes are sourced from high altitude vineyards in La Consulta, Uco Valley, Mendoza. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 6 months in American oak to soften the tannins and add extra spice to the wine.
The wine has flavours of rich, ripe dark fruits, juicy red plum, and ripe strawberry, chocolate, and a slight smokiness. A great combination of bramble fruit, sweet smoke and savoury meatiness.
The smoky nature of this wine makes it a great wine for a barbecue, while the deep fruit makes it a great match for steak too.
