Domaine Vacheron was certified biodynamic in 2005. The Vacheron cousins have inherited some of the finest parcels in Sancerre, creating wines with a Burgundian approach. Wines come from 30 to 60-year-old vines, which are mineral driven, textural and express great power and tension.

Fermentation is all on indigenous yeasts in a combination of stainless steel or cement tanks and wooden, open-top fermenters. Maturation takes place in large wooden oak casks or French barrels, and the wines are bottled unfiltered and unfined according to the lunar cycle.

Les Garennes is a small lieu-dit, smaller than a hectare, with a full southern exposure. This particular vineyard producers richer, more powerful expressions of Sancerre.
