Produced from a field blend of many varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Tinta Francisca, LBV is one of the most popular styles of port. This is an excellent example produced in the traditional style, rich, intense and juicy.
Black cherry colour with a garnet rim. Lovely fruit purity and intensity on the nose, with floral and resinous notes. Quite solid and juicy on the palate, showing excellent backbone and tannic structure combined with a well-defined natural acidity in a long and persistent finish.
Requires decanting - Stand the LBV Port Wine bottle upright for a few hours before decanting. It is best decanted at least two hours before being served. Once opened, the wine will keep for up to 10 days.
