Château Burgozone Côte du Danube Pinot Noir 75cl 14.5% ABV

Burgozone is a boutique family winery, perched on the slopes of the Danube river in Northern Bulgaria and overlooking the island of Esperanto. Burgozone is named after the Roman fortress built on the ancient Roman road Via Istrum.

This Pinot Noir is vinified in stainless steel and then matured in a combination of French and Bulgarian oak for 6-9 months.

The wine has a dense ruby colour with hints of violet. Aromas of red cherries jump out the glass with layers of smoke, dark chocolate and vanilla from the oak ageing. These aromas follow through onto the palate with the perfect balance of sweetness and spicy tannins.

Drink with duck, roast pork, creamy cheeses, or even slightly chilled with salmon.
