To create Batch 7 of The Balvenie Tun 1509, the distillery's Malt Master, David C. Stewart MBE, carefully hand-selected 21 of the finest oak casks. 4 ex-American barrels, 10 sherry butts and 7 hogsheads from the distillery's precious aged whiskies.
These 21 casks have spent a number of months in a traditional marrying Tun, knitting together. Like other releases in this series, The Balvenie Tun 1509 batch 7 whisky carries no age statement on the bottle as David Stewart MBE uses a marriage of some of The Balvenies rarest and most precious casks of varying ages, making this a truly special whisky.
